THE STORY: Grandma’s Spooky Stories is a light-hearted rhyming story featuring a familiar cast of creepy characters. It shows how our imaginations can get overactive, especially in the dark!
Four young cousins are staying at their grandparent’s house on a stormy night when a lightning strike plunges the house into darkness. Grandma mischievously entertains them with her absurd spooky stories. In the darkness, imaginations start working overtime. Thought bubbles show what each cousin is imagining, and extra pages have been inserted so that kids can add their own drawings too showing what they imagine. Tension builds in the story. Can Grandma’s stories be true? Is the bogeyman real? What is under Grandma’s bed? Who is knocking on the front door? AAAGH!! Thankfully, sensible Grandad calms everyone down before bedtime.
COMPANION BOOK: The original fully-illustrated version of Grandma’s Spooky Stories is available in paperback and as an ebook.
